Corrosion Testing
The automotive industry provides non-rusting warranties for its vehicles. To minimise the warranty costs in this area, extensive preventive corrosion testing is carried out. These road trials subject the vehicles to extreme conditions (driving through salt water, salt spray, climatic chamber) in time lapse. The vehicles are then dismantled and corrosion analysis is performed.
